MCHE is pleased to announce a seminar for 7th-12th grade educators, featuring Echoes and Reflections, a multimedia curriculum on the Holocaust developed by Yad Vashem, Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation, and the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).
The seminar, facilitated by Beth Seldin Dotan of the Anti-Defamation League and director of the Institute for Holocaust Education in Omaha, Nebraska, will be held at the Jewish Community Campus in Overland Park, Kansas. Upon completing the seminar, each 7-12th grade Holocaust educator will receive a complimentary copy of the Echoes and Reflections curriculum and learning guide, valued at nearly $100.
Enrollment is limited. A registration fee of $35 covers course materials, a continental breakfast and lunch.
OPTIONAL GRADUATE CREDIT AVAILABLE:
This seminar may be taken as a stand-alone in-service (June 23) or as the first day of a one-credit graduate level continuing education course offered by MCHE through Baker University. The course is cross listed for Education and History credit. When participants enroll, they will have the option of either:
EDC 5929: Echoes and Reflections Seminar
or
HSE 5400: Echoes and Reflections Seminar
Graduate credit will require attendance at both the June 23 and 24 sessions and completion of an assignment, an additional $25 fee to MCHE and a $50 enrollment fee to Baker University.
