Our spring newsletter recognizes all members as of March 1, according to gift level. All fiscal year donors (July 1-June 30) are listed in our Fall newsletter.
At the time of the Nazi book burnings, young Hans and Sophie Scholl were members of the Hitler Youth. Nine years later, as university students in Munich and organizers of the White Rose movement, they were arrested and executed, along with several friends and their professor, for distributing leaflets exposing the evils of the Nazi regime, with which they had become disillusioned.
Formed in 1996, MCHE's White Rose Society keeps alive the spirit and righteousness of these young people. Members help MCHE carry the White Rose message to schools and are recognized for their support of the White Rose Student Essay Contest in the Remembrance and Hope Chests awarded to winning essayists' schools.
As you make or renew your annual membership gift, please consider joining MCHE's White Rose Society. Your gift of $500 or more supports programs and resources that encourage students and educators to see how one person can make a difference, to stand up for what is right and to speak out against bigotry. Individual, corporate, and foundation donations are encouraged.
