Mosaic of Memories

CLICK HERE TO SCHEDULE THIS PROGRAM FOR YOUR STUDENTS

Mosaic of Memories is an interactive slide program for groups of 20-50 and is appropriate for 6th grade through adult audiences.

It focuses on local Kansas City survivors by incorporating their photographs taken in the year 2000, along with maps and archival images, into a geographic overview of the Holocaust. Faces of local Holocaust survivors and refugees provide a springboard for volunteer Messengers of Memory to describe prewar European Jewish culture and the personal experiences of immigrants who came to call Kansas City home. Messengers of Memory are trained to engage the audience in discussions of the events being presented in the program.

There is no fee, but teachers are encouraged to order a copy of From the Heart: Life Before and After the Holocaust ~ A Mosaic of Memories to enhance this experience.
