Second Generation Speakers Bureau

Members of the Second Generation Speakers Bureau share their parent's memories of the Holocaust as well as their own perspectives on growing up as the children of survivors. While there is no charge for these presentations, donations to MCHE in honor of our speakers are appreciated.

Within the Kansas City metro area:
Speakers are available to make one hour in-school presentations to middle and high school audiences. Please schedule this presentation at least four weeks in advance.

Outside the Kansas City metro area:
Schools and groups outside of the metro area should contact Jessica Rockhold at 913-327-8195 or schools@mchekc.org to arrange a presentation for your group at the Jewish Community Campus in Overland Park.

PLEASE NOTE: Our speakers are not historians. They are available to provide a personal perspective on the history of the Holocaust. MCHE asks that teachers utilize this program as a supplement to their Holocaust unit and that it be scheduled late enough in the unit that the students are already well acquainted with the history.

Contact Jessica Rockhold at schools@mchekc.org or 913-327-8195 with questions or for further details.
