Surviving Hitler: A Boy in the Nazi Death Camps

This biography of Kansas City survivor and MCHE co-founder Jack Mandelbaum chronicles his experiences during the Holocaust, including his youth in Gdynia, Poland, his family's time in a small ghetto, his transfer through slave labor camps, his liberation, and ultimately, beginning his new life in the United States. The Memory Project
The Memory Project is a collection of short stories written by local Kansas City Holocaust survivors. The ten authors draw us into their world - sharing affecting accounts of personal experiences, providing personal perspectives shaped by suffering and loss, renewal and rebirth, bequeathing an enduring legacy to their families and communities, and contributing significantly to Holocaust remembrance. The Holocaust: Through Our Own Eyes
This documentary is based upon MCHE's oral testimony project that chronicles the experiences of dozens of Holocaust witnesses, beginning with their lives before World War II.  These testimonies by survivors, concentration camp liberators, and other witnesses residing in the Midwest are supplemented with archival photographs and film footage.  Compelling narrative provides an overview of the history of the Holocaust, beginning with the end of World War I. DVD format available for $25.00 plus tax.

    This version is intended for students in grades seven through twelve as a component of a comprehensive study of the Holocaust.
