About the Film:
This documentary is based upon MCHE's videotaped testimony project that chronicles the experiences of dozens of Holocaust witnesses, beginning with their lives before World War II. These testimonies by survivors, concentration camp liberators, and other witnesses residing in the Midwest are supplemented with archival photographs and film footage. Compelling narrative provides an overview of the history of the Holocaust, beginning with the end of World War I.
Classroom Version (38 Minutes)
This version is intended for students in grades seven through twelve as a component of a comprehensive study of the Holocaust. Accompanying materials include suggested discussion questions and activities, vocabulary, a timeline of the Holocaust, and a recommended reading list for middle school and high school students. Note: some graphic material.
Community Version (58 Minutes)
This version is intended for college students and general adult audiences. Accompanying materials include a timeline of the Holocaust and a recommended reading list for adults. |
