2007-2008 White Rose Essay Contest Winners

Holocaust Ghettos

This years theme asked students to choose one ghetto established by the Nazis between 1939 and 1944. They were to describe how and why it was formed, how it was organized and governed, and how someone forced to live in that ghetto responded to the living conditions. Reflecting on the ghetto experience, students were asked what do they value more in their own lives as a result of what they learned?
