History of the Holocaust: Teaching the Core

June 17-19, 2013
8:30-4:30

This course provides a chronological survey
of Holocaust history with emphasis on the evolution of Nazi policy. Teachers leave this course with usable classroom activities, age-appropriate resources, and a familiarity with recorded testimonies of local Holocaust survivors.



Telling the Story: Teaching with Witness Testimony

July 9-11, 2013
8:30-4:30

This course focuses on the effective integration of primary source testimony in Holocaust education. It will begin with a plenary session taught by an educator from the USC Shoah Foundation and followed by sessions on the MCHE Witnesses to the Holocaust Archive.
