Echoes and Reflections Curriculum Training


 
Echoes and Reflections, developed by the Anti-Defamation League, the USC Shoah Foundation Institute, and Yad Vashem, is a testimony-based, modular curriculum for educators of grades 7-12 that includes survivor testimony, primary source documentation and teaching techniques designed to meet the Common Core standards. Educators who currently teach the Holocaust will receive a complimentary copy of the curriculum with a paid registration. As a regional training center, the Midwest Center for Holocaust Education is pleased to offer the following trainings:

This training, conducted by Jessica Rockhold from MCHE, prepares 7th-12th grade teachers to implement the Echoes and Reflections curriculum. Additionally, an educator from the USC Shoah Foundation will lead a special interactive demonstration of iWitness, a collection of over 1,100 Holocaust testimonies available online.

Educators may enroll in this one day training or jointly with the course Telling the Story: Teaching With Witness Testimony.
